The 64-page book includes an article on Italian aircraft carrier programs, with variant rules for Bomb Alley plus two new carrier-centered hypothetical scenarios for Bomb Alley based on Italian staff projections. There are also four additional new Bomb Alley scenarios.
Also along the Bomb Alley theme, there’s an article on the Royal Yugoslav Navy of World War II, with cut-and-paste counters for Yugoslav ships and a ship data sheet. The variant part of the article also describes Yugoslavia’s nearly-successful efforts to obtain battleships in the years following the First World War, and looks at how these might have been used in the Second. There are six scenarios adding the Yugoslavs to Bomb Alley.
Bomb Alley also includes a German helicopter carrier, and here we give that weird ship’s background, including a look at her helicopters. There are game variant rules for adding her to Bpmb Alley scenarios.
Eastern Fleet is not neglected, either, with four new scenarios presented here. Midway gets four as well, including a fascinating look at how Admiral Nobumasa Suetsugu, commander of the Combined Fleet in the late 1930s, would have handled a Pearl Harbor attack.
SOPAC has gone out of print, but for those lucky enough to have a copy, there are six additional scenarios here.
Distant Oceans greatly increases the play value of all four games, and won’t be reprinted when the last copy is gone.
